Between 2007 and 2009, the quiet coastal town of Kumburgaz, Turkey, became the center of one of the world’s most debated UFO cases.
A night security guard named Murat Yalcin Yalman captured more than 25 videos of a mysterious object hovering over the Sea of Marmara. The footage appeared to show a metallic, disc-shaped object, and some viewers even claimed they could make out humanoid figures inside the craft.
The videos were examined by several experts, who reported no evidence of digital manipulation. However, this did not confirm that the object was extraterrestrial. Skeptics have suggested the footage could instead show distant ships or yachts, with reflections and heavy zoom creating the unusual appearance. To this day, there is no universal agreement on what the videos actually depict.
