The GIMBAL UFO Incident (2015)
In 2015, U.S. Navy fighter pilots recorded one of the most famous UFO videos ever released to the public—the GIMBAL video.
Captured by an F/A-18 Super Hornet’s advanced infrared targeting system during a training mission off the east coast of the United States, the footage appears to show a mysterious object flying at high speed before seemingly rotating in mid-air.
The pilots can be heard expressing surprise as the object performs unusual movements that did not resemble those of conventional aircraft.
In 2020, the United States Department of Defense officially confirmed that the GIMBAL video was authentic and had been recorded by U.S. Navy personnel. However, officials did not conclude that the object was extraterrestrial—they identified it as an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) because its exact nature remains unknown.
To this day, the GIMBAL incident remains one of the most discussed and analyzed UAP cases in the world, raising questions about advanced technology, aviation safety, and unexplained aerial phenomena.
