Minot Air Force Base UFO Incident (1968)

On October 24, 1968, one of the most fascinating UFO incidents involving the U.S. military reportedly took place at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.
During the night, security personnel stationed at a Minuteman missile site reported seeing a bright, unidentified object hovering over the area. Around the same time, military radar operators also detected an unusual target in the sky.
A B-52 Stratofortress bomber returning to the base was directed toward the object by ground controllers. According to the crew, they observed a bright object that appeared to maneuver alongside their aircraft while also being tracked on radar. The object reportedly followed the bomber for several miles before suddenly disappearing.
The incident was officially investigated by the U.S. Air Force. Although several conventional explanations were considered, no single publicly accepted explanation has fully accounted for all of the reported observations. As a result, the Minot Air Force Base incident remains one of the most discussed military UFO cases in history.
Was it a secret military project, a rare natural phenomenon, or something that still cannot be explained?
