The Pascagoula Abduction (1973): A Terrifying UFO Encounter by the River
On October 11, 1973, two friends—Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker—were fishing near the Pascagoula River in Mississippi, USA, when they claimed to witness something terrifying.

According to their account, they suddenly saw a bright, oval-shaped UFO hovering nearby. Moments later, strange humanoid creatures with pale skin, claw-like hands, and unusual eyes reportedly approached them.
The two men claimed they were taken inside the mysterious craft, where they were examined by an unknown device before being returned to the riverbank.
Shocked and frightened, Hickson and Parker went straight to the police. Officers secretly recorded their conversation, expecting them to admit it was a joke—but the recording captured both men sounding deeply terrified and convinced that something unbelievable had happened.
To this day, the Pascagoula Abduction remains one of the most famous alleged alien-abduction cases in UFO history. Was it a real encounter, a misunderstanding, or something still unexplained?
