Retired U.S. Major General Neil McCasland, long connected to UFO programs, has been reported missing. A Silver Alert has been issued, and Rep. Melanie Stansbury is asking if anyone has seen him.

McCasland, aged 68, has gone missing in New Mexico, and police are very worried because of his health problems. He was last seen around 11 a.m. on Friday near Quail Run Court NE in Albuquerque.

McCasland was a longtime leader at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. He once commanded the base’s Phillips Research Site and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Col. Justin Secrest from the base said they are working with local police and send thoughts to his family.

The 2016 Hollywood Reporter article reported that Tom DeLonge claimed he had been working with McCasland for about four months. DeLonge wrote that McCasland publicly called himself a “skeptic” about UFOs, but DeLonge insisted he was not really a skeptic and was very aware of what was going on. DeLonge said McCasland helped him put together his advisory team on UFO issues.

DeLonge also claimed that when the Roswell crash happened, the wreckage was sent to a lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and that General McCasland had been in charge of that exact laboratory until a few years earlier.
