The Condon Report (1968) – The Study That Changed UFO History
In 1966, the U.S. Air Force commissioned the University of Colorado to conduct one of the most extensive scientific investigations into UFO sightings. Led by physicist Dr. Edward U. Condon, the project examined dozens of unexplained UFO cases and eyewitness reports.

Published in 1968, the Condon Report concluded that further large-scale scientific study of UFOs was unlikely to produce significant new discoveries. Following the report, the U.S. Air Force officially ended Project Blue Book in 1969.
Despite its conclusions, the report remains controversial. Critics argue that several unexplained cases deserved more attention and that the report’s final conclusions did not always match the evidence presented in some individual investigations.
More than 50 years later, the Condon Report continues to be an important part of UFO history and is still discussed by researchers, skeptics, and enthusiasts around the world.
