James Webb Telescope Just Detected 3I/ATLAS is Heading Towards Earth!
James Webb Telescope Reveals Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS Is Larger and Stranger Than Expected
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has provided unprecedented insights into interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, revealing that it is both larger and more chemically peculiar than previously thought.
A Surprising Size
Initial estimates suggested that 3I/ATLAS’s nucleus could be as large as 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers) in diameter. However, recent observations from JWST, combined with data from other telescopes, indicate that the comet’s nucleus is significantly smaller—likely less than 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) across. This discrepancy arises because the comet’s coma, a cloud of gas and dust surrounding its nucleus, was previously mistaken for part of the solid body, leading to inflated size estimates Wikipedia.
Unusual Chemistry
JWST’s Near-Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec) observations have uncovered that 3I/ATLAS’s coma is exceptionally rich in carbon dioxide (CO₂), with a CO₂-to-water (H₂O) ratio of approximately 8:1. This is about 16 times higher than typical comets observed in our solar system Live Science. Such a high CO₂ concentration suggests that the comet may have originated in a region of space with conditions vastly different from those in our solar system, possibly near a CO₂ ice line or in an environment with intense radiation Chron.
A Glimpse into the Past
Discovered on July 1, 2025, by the ATLAS sky survey, 3I/ATLAS is only the third confirmed interstellar object to pass through our solar system. Traveling at speeds exceeding 130,000 mph (210,000 km/h), it is expected to make its closest approach to the Sun on October 29, 2025. This rare visitor offers scientists a unique opportunity to study materials that predate our solar system, potentially providing insights into the conditions and processes that existed in the early universe WIRED.
As 3I/ATLAS continues its journey through our solar system, astronomers are closely monitoring its behavior and composition, eager to unravel the mysteries of this ancient interstellar traveler.
I believe they have been here before and now they are watching us to see how we are getting along. They have left all kinds of writings, pictures, and buried people to help us see that we have relatives who live on another planet far far away and they are checking to see if we need help here on earth before we distroy ourselves again. I know there have been cities that have been destroyed and other cities built right on top it in the same location at least 5 times. We have not learned how to get along so they are watching what we are doing right now because we aren’t getting along too well at the moment and they want to make sure we don’t kill off humanity totally.
I agree ih you. I have studied ancient cultures for quite some time and yes, there are pictures, writings plus. I truly believe we have been put here for a reason. Maybe one day we’ll find out.
Yeah klattu & Gort or the Jupiter 2 returns 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We are like kids and don’t get along on the playground so we feel like we half to though a tizy
I totally agree.
We the public won’t know until it’s here what is going on. They will spin the truth unless they are override by the spa e visitor. I’m not holding my breath; I’ll sit here & see what comes forward. Very interesting⁉️
Exactly
If this is contact from another species then they sre obviously much more advanced. No danger or reaon to panic. We have nothing they want.
CUANDO TE DOMINEN POR LA FUERZA O LA TECNOLOGIA…NO PENSARAS IGUAL…TE LO ASEGURO…!!!
Another bullshit article.
I believe this object to be a probe.

Let’s be prepared. We don’t know what’s there motives among us humans. And let’s pray for peace and harmony among them🙏😔👍.

Same article even thou post is constantly claiming new information. Give us uodated article please.
Firstly the heading says heading towards earth
Then in the main article it says orbiting the sun
Very vague and contradictory article almost on the verge of being called a fake
Load of pish and click bait. It’s a lump of rock and ice not a space ship craft what ever you want to call it and Elon musk is a natzi white supremacist who talks shit when off his tits on ketamine or fentenal. Looking for attention and not abuse. From being an earth activists to wanting to leave earth and then all the natzi and trump shit that back fired massively and now he’s playing up to the aliens ar coming brigade. FFS people I don’t truly believe we are the only life in the galaxy but I don’t think all life in the galaxy looks anything like us but I don’t believe aliens are coming in a comet that erupts jets of steam and vapour when rounding the sun . Not a very safe travel model.
