A Russian research group called Kosmopoisk recently unearthed a strange disc-shaped rock that bears an uncanny resemblance to the classic shape of a UFO. Initial geological analysis by the project revealed an age of over a million years.
The expedition was led by UFO researcher Vadim Chernobroʋ, a former aerospace engineer who has devoted himself to studying strange artifacts such as the recently discovered ancient saucer. Chernobroʋ and his team, Δegan, excavated an area in the Volgograd region after local legends piqued their interest.

“This area has always been rich in mythology and folklore,” Chernobroʋ told a local newspaper. “For as long as they can remember, locals have told stories about dragons made of metal, not flesh. There are also stories of strange slave traders who came and went in the most mysterious ways.
Excavations began earlier this month, and the group made their first major discovery in the early hours of September 8. Buried in a remote area in the Mededitskaya Mountains was a massive stone disc, measuring approximately 13 feet in diameter and weighing several tons. In addition to its resemblance to modern depictions of flying saucers, the artifact has some unique features.

For starters, it’s eerily symmetrical and quite similar to the rocky disks photographed by NASA on Mars. Even stranger is the fact that the object has metallic inclusions on its surface.
The inclusions were identified as tungsten, a hard and rare metal found naturally on Earth only in chemical compounds. Also known as tungsten, this chemical element is very strong and can withstand extremely high temperatures.
It is interesting to note that tungsten is routinely used in advanced engineering projects wherever radiation shielding is required.
Intrigued by this aspect, the Kosmopoisk group decided that the disc should be subjected to further testing and was taken to the Zhirnosky Museum for in-depth analysis.
This isn’t the first disc discovered in the area by Chernobro and his team, but it’s certainly the strangest:
We managed to find a dozen of these stone discs,” he told the Volgograd Gazette. “But we have never found such a unique one. Others had a diameter of no more than 3 feet, and we were able to publish the finds. The largest of them was found in KuzƄass and had a diameter of 6 feet. This one is twice as expensive.

Earlier this year, Siberian coal miners pulled two similar, though smaller, stone disks from a depth of more than 130 feet. The larger of the two measured more than five feet in diameter and weighed approximately 440 pounds.
Several mammoths recovered by the miners have been dated to around 10,000 years old, but these were found 25 metres below the surface, suggesting the discs could be much older. Could these be related to the latest discovery?
It’s impossible to say, and for all we know, the discs could be natural formations. Your opinion on the matter is welcome, so feel free to use the comments section and let us know what you think.
