THE 1933 UFO CRASH IN ITALY: THE FIRST AND FORGOTTEN ROSWELL?

The 1947 Roswell incident in New Mexico is perhaps the most well-known UFO crash in history, generating countless debates and conspiracy theories. However, what if I told you that there was an earlier, lesser-known incident that occurred in 1933 in Italy that could rival Roswell in importance? This is the story of the 1933 Italy UFO crash: The Forgotten Pre-Roswell Enigma.

When we think of UFO crashes, our minds often turn to Roswell, but history has a way of hiding intriguing secrets. Could there have been an even earlier event that involved a dictator, covert operations, and potential military cover-ups? The 1933 UFO crash in Italy seems to suggest so, and recent claims and evidence from researchers and former intelligence officers have put this mysterious incident back in the spotlight.

According to these  emerging sources, a bell-shaped flying saucer met its untimely end near Magenta, a town located west of Milan, on June 13, 1933.

The alleged recovery of the craft by Italian authorities led to its transport to a nearby airfield, where it was examined by a team of experts, headed by none other than Guglielmo Marconi, the renowned inventor of the radio. However, the first “UFO” case in Italy remained shrouded in secrecy as the fascist regime immediately cracked down on the incident. Roberto Pinotti, founder and secretary of the National UFO Center, played a key role in resolving the enigma surrounding this case.

During a conference on “Ufology” near Lake Maggiore in Arona, Pinotti shed light on this intriguing piece of history. He explained: “The remains of the UFO, represented in the drawings as a cylindrical aircraft with a neck at the end, adorned with portholes emitting white and red lights, were stored in the Siai-Marchetti warehouses in Vergiate for 12 years.”

What is even more intriguing are the details about the craft’s occupants. Preserved in formalin, these supernatural pilots were 6 feet tall, had fair hair, and striking blue eyes of an oriental appearance.

It is no wonder that Mussolini initially assumed that they were German pilots, despite Marconi’s opinion to the contrary. Pinotti’s hypothesis adds a new layer to the pre-war story, suggesting: “The Duce may have believed that aligning himself with Nazi Germany, which possessed advanced and unprecedented air capabilities, was more prudent than having it as an adversary.”

The UFO itself was reportedly constructed from an unknown metal that was resistant to heat and corrosion. It boasted a complex propulsion system and electromagnetic fields far beyond the technological reach of that time.

Interestingly, Benito Mussolini, captivated by the phenomenon, established a secret department known as “Gabinetto RS/33” (or Office RS/33) to study the disc and its extraterrestrial technology. This secret department, under the leadership of Marconi, included scientists, engineers, and military officers, all working toward the ambitious goal of reverse-engineering the alien craft for military applications.

However, their grand plans were thwarted at the end of World War II, when Italy fell to the Allied forces. According to some reports, American troops got their hands on the saucer and its remains, transporting them back to the United States. These artifacts would later become part of a clandestine program tasked with collecting and researching various “non-human” flying saucers.

This program was allegedly overseen by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), an exceptionally secret intelligence agency specializing in spy satellites.

Recent revelations from David Grusch, a former NRO officer who claims to have first-hand knowledge of this program, have shed light on its existence. Grusch claims to have found documents and photographs that support the U.S. government’s acquisition of several alien craft over the years, including the one from Italy in 1933. He also claims to have spoken to other former intelligence officials who corroborate his account.

The 1933 UFO crash in Italy, although one of the oldest and most obscure cases in the history of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), may hold the key to unlocking the origins and intentions of these enigmatic visitors. Its significance could extend to the profound impact these encounters have had on human history and technological development, making it an important chapter in the annals of UFO lore.
