UFO ALIENS

Actor Kurt Russell Reported UFO Sightings

The Phoenix Lights incident occurred on March 13, 1997, and is one of the most important and well-documented UFO sightings of all time. Huge luminous formations of varying descriptions, usually in a V shape, were seen over a distance of almost 500 km in the night sky between the states of Nevada and Arizona in the United States, but mainly over the city of Phoenix, the capital of Arizona.

An estimated 20,000 people witnessed the bizarre light formation over the city at night, and actor Kurt Russell was one of the first people to report the phenomenon to authorities at the time.

During an interview with the BBC, promoting the film   Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  , the actor casually revealed that he was one of the pilots who reported the Phoenix Lights.

Kurt Russell said of the event:

“I was traveling with my son Oliver to visit his girlfriend, and we were getting closer. I saw six V-shaped lights over the airport. I was looking, and we were pretty close, about a mile away, and Oliver said, ‘Dad, what are those lights?’ And I kind of snapped out of my reverie and said, ‘I don’t know what they are.’ He asked me, ‘Are we okay here?’ and I said, ‘I think so, I’ll call the control tower,’ and then I reported it.”

Kurt Russell, like actors Harrison Ford and John Travolta, is also a civilian pilot. Russell also explained in the interview that he didn’t think much of the incident at the time, and it wasn’t until years later, when his wife Goldie Hawn was watching a Phoenix Lights special on TV, that he realized he had witnessed a major event.
